Nutritional yeast flakes are a true gift to the vegan world and Marigold has been bringing this product to the UK market for the last thirty years.
More than just great taste
As well as having a delicious, moreish, cheesy, nutty taste, these fermented and dried flakes grown on beet molasses contain a wealth of vitamins and minerals. They are delicious sprinkled on soups, stews, casseroles, salads, sauces, pasta or even can be eaten neat, straight from the spoon.
Spoilt for choice
Made in a state-of-the-art factory in Estonia, there are currently four versions on offer to suit different preferences. The most popular is with vitamin B12 in the blue tub and is available in most health food stores and big supermarkets. This yeast is high in protein and fortified with extra vitamins during the fermentation process to give a high level of B12. This is an element often lacking in a vegan diet, being mostly available in meat, fish and dairy products. Another super item in the range is in the green tub fortified with Vitamin D absorbed into the yeast through exposure to ultra violet light. This premium line also contains even higher levels of B12.
For the purists who just want the nutritional yeast flakes with nothing added there are two lines. The Organic version in a purple tub is made from yeast simply grown on organic molasses. Protein & Fibre in the pink tub is the most affordable while still having many naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.
